Marginal decrease in petrol price

Price of petrol went down by 95 paise a litre in India on Thursday night following a drop in international crude oil prices.

Petrol would cost Nu 64.14 in the capital from the earlier Nu 65.12 a litre starting today.
Although international crude oil prices fell, the Rupee still remains weak against the Dollar.

Besides international crude oil prices, the Rupee and Dollar exchange rate also significantly influences petrol prices as India imports around 80 percent of its oil needs. Bhutan imports all its oil needs from India.
